Best Albums of 2016 (Updated)

Oh man, I think the last time I did a post like this was 2012 or 2013, so it has certainly been a minute. As far as the year 2016 in hip hop goes, I mean I don't have a definitive opinion of it one way or the other. At this point, it is what it is. While things can be way better on all levels (mainstream, underground, etc), instead of making another post about that particular subject, I decided to go another route and focus on the GOOD albums we did get this year. So, with all that being said, I'm just going to post the albums I feel were the best representations of what hip hop had to offer in '16 (no in depth comments with all due respect, just my ratings and chances of a revisit going forward, the latter of which are subject to change). Oh, as of this post, I haven't checked out Common's "Black America Again" or A Tribe Called Quest's latest album. (And here I am with an update, in reference to the latter two albums. Today, 12/28/16, I checked out the albums from ATCQ and Common, as well as Joe Budden's "Rage & The Machine." Starting with Common, for someone who follows politics, "Black America Again" talked to me a lot and I enjoyed it more than I did his previous album, "Nobody's Smiling." And when it comes to Tribe's album, at first I was hesistant on listening to it because it came out after Phife Dawg's death and trust me that in itself is a long story, lol, but fellow friends/hip hop fans strongly recommended I check it out, and I'm glad I did. It's quite the "feel good" album featuring top notch lyrics and production. And with all this being said, there will be three additions to this list.)
