Wu-Block #1

This will be the first edition of the Wu-Block series, taking a look at the Wu-Tang/D-Block collaborations from each members' respective solo albums, then closing with my (first ever) review of the Wu-Block album. This will be an interesting series considering that I'm a long time fan of both crews, and that's going to come across pretty clearly. So let's get started shall we!!

Ghostface Killah f/ Sheek Louch & Styles P
"Metal Lungies"

Produced by: No I.D.

Album: The Pretty Toney Album (2004)

What a way to begin than with this fast paced collabo. Ghost, Styles, and Sheek waste no time delivering the goods on the tight track provided by No I.D.

"What these clown niggas hollerin/What they need to be hollarin is there go Theodore/Put the ball down, we can't score/They pen shit to backboards, make queens outta wack broads" -Ghostface Killah

"Niggas think I'm lucky, bitches wanna fuck me/And put me in the tub wit em like I'm a rubber ducky" -Sheek Louch

"I put the metal in ya mouth like you was rockin braces/I spit an iron lungie, I'm old school like the Iron Monkey" -Sheek Louch

"I don't wanna talk to you holmes, I don't communicate/My guns they be in my hand, more than my phone/And I could dial yo number/Knock the smile off ya face wit the HK9, in the all black Hummer" -Styles P

Thumbs way up for this one.

Next up, Ghost and Jada on "Run."
