Public Enemy released their groundbreaking second album, "It Takes A Nation of Millions To Hold Us Back", 25 years ago.
Wow, it's been 25 years since the release of this classic album. Public Enemy were likely the first hip hop act whose second album was better than their first. Either way, this is a personal favorite of mine, it still holds up today (obviously) with straight classics up and down the lineup, and like KRS-One said on "Outta Here", this, along with BDP's "By All Means Necessary" album, set off consciousness in rap. Things will never be this revolutionary again, and I thank everyone involved for this album!
