From The Vault

I didn't get a chance to post this on the last couple of Fridays, so I decided to present a "from the vault" series on today. And don't worry, the actual date for this series hasn't changed, lol!

One of the more "unsung" posse cuts from Keith Murray's "Enigma" album, which also features Erick Sermon, Jamal, Redman, and Busta Rhymes. So dope.

Another tight song from Mobb Deep, this one from the "Any Given Sunday" soundtrack. Much like he did with "It's Mine" using the classic cues from the Scarface movie opening, Havoc superbly uses this same formula here, but this time from the ending of "Heat", both of which are two of my favorite movies of all time!

I remember back in 96, my cousin Terrell commented on this next pick. He flat out said "this song was stupid" or something to that effect, lol. Being that it comes from the Wu-Tang Clan (featuring Killah Priest), I immediately said "man you crazy", lol. This was before I even heard it, lol, and my cousin probably never sat down to listen to it either. This one comes from the slept on "America Is Dying Slowly" soundtrack, and it touches on AIDS awareness. Raekwon said it best towards the end, "it's for real man, this s*** will take your life man!" Well said.
