New album anticipation

It looks like the last three months of 2012 is shaping to have some promising releases, and even if some or all of them don't receive the attention they deserve, I feel these upcoming releases will exceed my expectations and turn out to be very good albums. And hopefully none of the release dates will change.

I'm fan of both of these artists. I just heard about this album this week, and it's nice to see collaborations albums like this. Production will come from respectable names such as DJ Premier, Statik Selektah, and Alchemist, not to mention a good list of guests (Billy Danze from M.O.P., a surprising inclusion in the form of Busta Rhymes, Styles P, Freeway, & Bun B). Looks like the making of an excellent album.

November 6th

Now, THIS is great news right here, which is the case anytime Ghostface Killah releases an album. Producer Adrian Younge will create the music, and no list of guests have been confirmed as of this posting. His last album "Apollo Kids" was a slept on album, and I'm sure he'll bring the goods again this time around.

Release date
November 20th

4.5 stars

You can never go wrong with a Boot Camp Clik release, and this is another one from the camp. "Jesus Price Supastar" was excellent, and I'm expecting the same from this release.

Release date
October 30th

4 stars

Coming off of his excellent debut from last year, Saigon returns with what should be another excellent album. I can already tell this one is not going to be better than its predecessor, but it'll be a damn good follow up. Dead Prez, Killer Mike, and Styles P will come along in the form of guests, Just Blaze will return as one of the album's producers.

November 6th

Always having great chemistry whenever they collaborate, I’ve been waiting for this one for a good while now, and my only worry is a changing release date. I’m confident we will get a very good album.

Release date
October 9th or 16th

Predicted rating
3.5 stars

Skyzoo delivered two excellent albums in the form of “The Salvation” and “Live From The Tape Deck” (with Illmind). I feel we will get another excellent album with “A Dream Deferred”. Illmind will be behind the boards again, along with 9th Wonder and DJ Khalil, just to name a few.

Release date
October 2nd

Predicted rating
4 stars

Mr. Lamar is an interesting case. When I first checked out “Section 80”, I was not impressed, however, I revisited it a couple of months ago, and it grew on me since, so much so that I copped the EP the next day. That in itself created my anticipation for his debut album, which I’m hoping will be just as good if not better.

Release date
October 22nd

Predicted rating
4 stars

This was will be released this upcoming Tuesday (9/25) and I'm really anticipating it, especially after the excellent album Bumpy did with DJ Premier this year (Kolexxxion). Bumpy on the mic, Statik Selektah behind the boards. This should (and will be) great.

Release date
 September 25

Predicted rating
4 stars

All of these releases literally guarantee a strong period for late 2012, as well as welcomed additions to my collection. Are my expectations high? For some of them yes, but as long as I get great music out of all of them, that's what counts!!!!!
